The Florist FCU Releases Bill Negotiation Functionality In Mobile Application

Members can now submit monthly household bills like cable and internet for negotiation.

Roswell, New Mexico – June 25, 2018 – Members can now live healthier financial lives by lowering their monthly bills. The Florist FCU has introduced bill negotiation to help members negotiate recurring monthly bills such as cable TV, internet, cell phones and security.

This all happens with only a few taps of your mobile phone (and if you are a Florist FCU member!).

Cisco Malpartida Smith (President/CEO – The Florist Federal Credit Union) said, “Our Credit Union has always placed the financial health of our members first. Introducing bill negotiation services – all through the convenience of our mobile banking application – is a great example of this. We hope all of our members take advantage of this amazing functionality.”

How It Works:

  • Log into The Florist FCU’s mobile banking application
  • In our mobile banking “feed”, scroll until you find a display for Billshark or select ‘Lower Bills’ from the menu
  • Take a picture of your bill with your mobile device, or upload a screenshot of a pdf or website
  • Link your credit card information (40% of any savings you achieve is paid to Billshark, you keep the remaining 60%. You pay nothing if Billshark does not save you money!)
  • Provide any additional information about your bill that Billshark might need
  • If the negotiation is successful, check your next monthly bill and enjoy the extra cash!

Important Facts about Billshark:

  • 80% of bills can be negotiated
  • 300mm of 375mm bills are eligible for negotiation
  • Most consumers don’t know how or when to negotiate – or don’t have time to wait on hold
  • 72% of consumers who complain about high bills never attempt to negotiate
